MARK Davis has become the latest player to qualify for the Championship League Winners Group after beating Mark Selby 3-1 in the Group Four final.

Davis now joins Judd Trump, Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson in the Winners Group, which will see the quartet, along with the winners of the three groups still to be played, competing for a place in this autumn’s Premier League.

The 39-year-old, who won a Six-Red World Championship in 2009 bagged £6,000 for his Group Four efforts, and has now claimed a total of £13,600 from Championship League Snooker.

Following his victory, he said: "I’m absolutely over the moon and I can’t say enough about this tournament.

"A great event, great money, great match practice and you’re well looked after. Last year I earned £600 in this event so it’s all positive this year!"
