STEPHEN Hendry made breaks of 56 and 81 as he recovered from 3-2 down to beat Michael Holt 4-3, and will now face fellow Scot Stephen Maguire, who beat former Welsh Open runner-up Andrew Higginson 4-0.
Elsewhere, Joe Perry qualified for the last four with a 4-1 win over Ricky Walden, ending the 2008 Shanghai Masters champion’s hopes of securing a top 16 place before the next cut-off point.
Perry will now face Power Snooker Masters champion Martin Gould, who beat Mark Allen 4-3. The match included a 147 attempt by Allen, which ended when the Northern Irelander missed an easy black on 105.
